Hello everyone, I have a question. I met a guy this summer on vacation. I’m 18, he’s 25. After 5 days, he asked me to be his girlfriend. It’s a long-distance relationship (I’m in Belgium, he’s in Italy, originally Uzbek). My parents didn’t allow it, so I kept it secret.

I moved into a uni dorm, and he visited me a few times, staying for a whole week. Everything seemed perfect—he shows me love, cries in my arms, pays for food and dates. He tells me he loves me constantly.

BUT then his ex texted me, saying he was still with her when he started dating me. She showed screenshots where he denied having a girlfriend while he was with me. He claims she’s manipulative and crazy, but I don’t know what to believe.

He also has money problems, doesn’t work, and never paid his ex rent when living with her. My friends say he could be faking everything, but he seems so perfect to me. I truly love him, he’s my first everything. Now I have serious trust issues. Is his love fake? What should I do? he also has a ticket to see me in a week, i don't know if i should cancel or not

TL;DR:

Long-distance relationship (M/25, F/18, 5 months). Found out he lied about his ex and has money issues. He says he loves me, but I don’t know if it’s real. Should I stay or leave?
