This is a slightly long story, but I’ll summarize it. We are both 18, and I’m not sure if we were ever in a proper talking stage, but basically, we used to chat every day. She would randomly update me about her daily routine sometimes, and we just kept in touch like that. Things started getting serious between us from last August to October. During that time, she invited me to hang out, and during our meetups, we took pictures, bought dolls, and even exchanged them. We had really solid chemistry.
Then in November, I noticed a change in her behavior—she became distant and dry both in chat and in real life. It turned out that another guy had been hitting on her, which broke my heart. Eventually, they got together, and she started drifting away from me. My messages on WhatsApp and Instagram were still delivered. After that, the only interaction we had was our TikTok streaks.
Fast forward to December—they broke up. I didn’t reach out to her until New Year’s, when I wished her a happy new year and we started chatting again after almost two months of no contact. At first, the conversation was okay; I asked her questions, and she asked me some back. I tried to keep the conversation going, but it didn’t seem like she was very interested. She stopped asking questions or engaging much, even though I was replying slowly to give her space.
so is the "talking stage" really over???
anything I can do atp besides "giving up"?
