Does anyone want a lap cat? Since the cold weather set in my two cats are glued to my lap. I know it’s illegal to remove a cat that’s on your lap but I would just have to couch potato all the time (and can’t get any work done when wfh). Any volunteers? They’re warm, soft, they purr a lot and smell amazing.
I saw that Klaus Mäkelä is conducting both Sibelius violin concerto and Lemminkäinen in Elbphilharmonie and there are a few tickets left. I am not sure, though. I already splurged a lot on concert tickets this season 🙈
Speaking of Elbphilharmonie, it caught my attention that Salvador Sobral had a concert in the big hall in November which was sold out. It’s crazy, I think of all the Eurovision winners he had the most consistent upwards trajectory till now. Respect.
It’s a little bit weird to live in a snowy city again. In the previous years, we have some snowfalls that have molten almost immidiately, now there’s plenty of snow that is not going anywhere.
There’re snow sculptures springing randomly, difficulties in walking on icy pavements and sieges on cross-country skies rental places on weekends.
I feel like on an Alpine winter holiday 🙂
After like a week of it being -20 or nearly -20 every day it now feels warm when it’s -10°C. It’s funny how fast your perception of temperature changes like that. I always think about this in autumn. When it first gets to 0°C in autumn it’s super cold and you’re searching your closet for the warm overcoats and winter boots. Then in the spring when it gets back to 0 you’re again in the same closet looking for the light jackets and sneakers.
As much as I love my winter wardrobe, the feeling of going out in a light jacket for the first time in spring is unmatched. It feels so, well, light. Like you might float away. I can’t wait for that, I’m kinda done with winter already.
Just arrived in London, and there’s actually decent weather! Cold but sunny day, better than the heavy rain I left in Palermo.
Unfortunately this trip is mostly work but I’ll have a bit of time to meet a couple of friends and relatives as well…
