Perhaps this only applies to the shops I go to, but I’d be interested to hear if it happens in your area too.
In aldi, there seems to be an unwritten rule that if you have a big(ish) shop, or even a medium one and the person behind you has a handful of things, you let them go first. Aside from the bakery section, I find Aldi and Lidl comparable supermarkets BUT every time I’ve been to Lidl to grab one or two things, nobody exercises the same levels of politeness.
What’s with that, did they not get the memo or is there something more at play?
