An old friend (34M) used to date this girl (33F) in high school about 15 years ago. We were always good friends but as time has gone on we don’t keep in touch as much but are still friends. They broke up and went their own way. Well last year her and I started talking and are dating now. She is amazing and I want to marry her. My friend has been married now for a few years. Should I let him know I’m dating his ex? Part of me doesn’t want to bring up old memories but another part wants to respect our friendship and at least tell him myself.
