I (25F) have been in a relationship with my boyfriend (M30) for over a year now, and few months ago I found out my boyfriend downloaded tinder to stalk his ex and also kept screenshots from her profile.
This happened when we had been together for couple of months.
He said the relationship ended in bad terms and he wanted to know whether his ex was dating their mutual friend, or she was single. He kept doing this for two months, and then stopped it. It's hard to even believe this explanation, because first he tried to lie about this.
After I found out he was obviously very sorry and embarassed, and explained that the time he did this was very difficult and stressful due to other things. So that he was in a bad mental stage and really regrets this.
I forgave him and we talked it through, but it's very hard to forget it and plan future with him. I have been cheated before and I'm afraid he will betray my trust again.
My mind is a mess because of this, our relationship is good otherwise and I love him very much. Is there something we could do to repair the trust, or is this doomed?
