I was coming home from work on my bike earlier today.
Riding up my street (not fast it’s an estate) when my neighbours large dog came flying out of its garden into me sideways, knocked me off then nipped twice at my leg.
It did break the skin and ripped a hole my trousers, but nothing serious! I was more scared than hurt.
She was really apologetic and said “he’s usually friendly” and that bikes set him off!
I was in shock a bit so just said “it’s fine”
She also knocked an hour later to check I was ok, and I told her I was fine just a bit shaken.
But now I’m thinking about it, he’s not friendly it’s always throwing itself at their gate (I can only assume the gate was open on this occasion) I’ve seen her walking it and trying to reign it in when it goes off its head at everyone passing!
I’m in two minds to report it! Because what if it had been a child on a bike? Or it really hurts someone. It’s a pretty large dog! It did stop immediately when its owner ran out.
And because I’ve assured her I’m fine don’t know whether I feel like a dick about it?
