As a woman who wants a leader, I think my bfs mom is holding him back. He doesn’t bear much responsibility because his parents take care of everything. His mom is always calling/texting to make sure something and pretty much anything was done. Even giving monetary rewards for something as simple as picking up dry cleaning, something that benefits him without the compensation.
Recently, she texted him making sure he packed the appropriate things needed for a trip, suggesting a to-do list, and then told him to wear something nice on the road there. I am a 20F and my parents do not check behind me anywhere near this rate.
It it normal to be alarmed by this? It has been going on since we met when he was 20yrs old.
