For context I moved into my flat in July 2025, the previous tenant was involved with drugs. First few months went fine come November the police attempted to raid my flat in search of the previous tenant, it got resolved pretty quickly in all fairness despite the shock and thought that was the end of it.
December 2nd the police came by again telling me that someone has reported domestic violence coming from this flat, I tell them this is probably an old case as nothing of the sort has happened here the police officer was having none of it and demanded I gave information of me and my partner which I wasn't happy with.. was very abrupt and demanding information for something that they considered a 'welfare check'.
I spoke to a neighbour and he told me the police were in the building a couple of weeks ago asking information about my flat so I'm expecting another visit from them soon, who knows what it will be this time! I have called 101 multiple times but it doesn't seem like the officers coming round are seeing the notes on the system to say I'm a new tenant and not associated with previous issues.
Frustratingly I have called the police multiple times myself regarding crime in the area and I have just been ignored but are still showing up for other things here!
What do I do? Hope that my calls to 101 have resolved it? Anyone else I can go to? I cannot live my life with the stress that police are turning up and asking neighbours for information regarding my address.
Edit to add: just to clarify I'm nothing to do with the previous tenant I only know this information through neighbours and the information the police are able to give me.
Update: thanks for the responses! Someone actually contacted me again from the non emergency number to confirm the previous tenant has definitely been removed from the address as they have an up to date one for him. They've added notes to the file so when my address is searched they will see it all. They're unsure about this DV call currently but they're treating it as malicious at the moment so hopefully this is an end to it all. A little concerned about that one but hopefully it'll fizzle out. Thank you again!
