Hi, I’m 31F dating my boyfriend 39M for 4 years and we’ve been living together for 3 years.
I always knew he liked playing games, he is a nerd and told me he would spends days playing games when teenager, but I didn’t really pay much attention.
Now as we living together he also plays almost every evening, but the last two months he plays even during his work hours (as he’s remote). I really don’t like it, because I feel like his biggest passion is games and I’m totally different, I don’t like being in front of screens all the time, I like outdoor activities.
When I bring it up to him and tell him that he plays too much he tells me that he still goes to gym, go out with my friends and me, that he has right to do what he wants in his free time. And yes he is right he gives me attention but still I wish he would be passionate not only games but more real life, he doesn’t even have many friends with who he can go out ( it’s mostly my friends)…
What can I do so he doesn’t feel resentment to me for judging him when he plays?
