Look I say “people” because I don’t want to dog pile on men but from my experiences and everything I’ve seen around me, it’s usually men. I’ve been seeing this guy I thought was great for about 2 months. I literally just slept over at his place for the first time last night. I have a boundary of no penetrative sex before getting into a committed relationship. He told me that wasn’t an issue multiple times. He’s been open about seeing other people and I’m fine with that. He’s only seeing one other person at the moment. I literally just asked him today if he would be comfortable not texting this other woman he’s dating when he is spending time with me. He said yes to my face and then just dumped me over text about 15 minutes ago. His text started off with “I’ve been thinking for a while” and honestly I don’t know what would be worse if it was the truth: he was fine up until today and then ran at literally the first tiny compromise I asked for. Or he really has been thinking about ending this for a while and has been lying and convincing me he was still into me because he was too much of a fucking coward to end things when he first started losing interest.
