I live in a small town where everyone pretty much knows everyone. You can't even do anything in this town without so many people knowing your business.
My boyfriend and I have been together about 5 months, and he told me he was single for a few years before me. He says I'm the first woman in years he's actually wanted to date. Whatever he did before me isn't my business, but I keep being told he's a player, and when I try to defend him and I, they won't listen. To me, his actions show me he genuinely likes me. I'm in my 30s, he's in his 40s.
He texts me everyday with Good morning beautiful, and calls me regularly.
Our relationship isn't just based on sex, and we go out often on dates.
He took me to this beautiful town at Christmas, and bought me a Christmas gift.
He told me it scares him a little how much he likes me.
He tells me he misses me when we're not together
He cuddles with me a lot when we watch movies.
He introduces me to everyone. All his friends, his family, and introduces me as his girl.
Friends of his have told me he talks about me all the time.
He didn't even try to sleep with me right away when we started seeing each other. He told me he didn't want it to happen too soon because he liked me.
Yet I get told to be careful, and not fall for him. I've been played before, and they didn't act like this.
I don't know why I'm posting, just a rant I guess. I'm tired of people getting in my business. I purposely don't talk about my relationships with people, they just know, and give me unsolicited advice that I don't ask for.
