My husband has ruined Christmas for me. He is materialistic and shopping for him in terrifying, even though I got him the things he wanted on his list he is still disappointed. It’s not good enough for him. The holidays are stressful and I’m trying to save money bc I’m currently not working and yet he’s upset.
He is constantly overstimulated and angry so any task of putting toys together for the kids is a mission and he gets mad at everyone vocalizing his anger. I just try to constantly regulate everyone and keep everything calm including constantly checking him gently saying hey it’s Christmas or so and so is only 5 years old so they don’t understand and is excited. I’m exhausted. I’m also trying to put together the toys and play with the kids and make it magical. He is now back in bed…
