I am a woman in my 20s, visiting Birmingham for the holidays. I went for a walk this morning. The streets were dead quiet, as expected. What should have been a peaceful walk was disrupted by some people in a car.
I was crossing the road when a guy driving a car with three other people in it honked at me. He then rolled down the window and said something, but I could not catch what he said.
He eventually turned left and drove away. Then, out of nowhere, he reversed the car and bumped into a lamppost. He drove forward and suddenly reversed again to catch up with me as I was walking away. He came very close to me. Then he abruptly drove forward and reversed again to where I was standing. I was scared and was not sure what to do, since the street was empty.
Luckily, a middle-aged man walked past me, and the guy in the car drove away once I was no longer alone. The middle-aged man said that perhaps the people in the car found me attractive and wanted my attention. By what, almost hitting me?
I am not sure if they wanted to hurt me, kidnap me, or something else. I do not know what their intention was, but the experience has left me really scared. Unfortunately, I did not get the license plate number, so I do not know if I can still make a report, would appreciate advise on this!
