TL;DR: Distanced myself in the study room after she yelled at me twice (first time bcz of me wearing new slippers on supposedly dirty socks, second time bcz she thought I didn't vacuum well). I am sensitive, was a crazy days, so I played a mobile game to calm down. Deal was, she would be cleaning, and I would be working. She found out I was playing a game, yelled at me; I told her the reason, and she said, "What are you calming down from? Did somebody die? Are you a mentally unstable person?"
The last couple of days were a bit crazy for us. Gift-shopping, work, house-work – you know the drill. So I get we were under stress.
Me personally, I'm introvert, so a day that consists of work and then gift-shopping is really exhausting for me. And the past couple of days we were always doing smth together anyways, and I got only little time for myself.
Today, after doing some work and house-work (laundry, vacuuming, groceries, cleaning), I met w/ the handymen who came in to fix smth. They'd been there for an hour and a half. After that, we were supposed to clean. Some tasks we split. And bcz she knew I had to work (I work remotely, two part-time roles), after a while, she told me to go work, she'll do the rest of the cleaning.
During that cleaning, she yelled at me. Thrice. First time bcz I put new slippers on after walking without slippers. Second time bcz she didn't think I vacuumed well enough. Third time because she found me playing on my phone instead of working. Then she said all the things from the title.
I'm just wondering whether I should call it quits. Maybe give it one more chance, for us to start couples therapy.
