I am 27M, she is 28F, we belong to different religions, and we want to get married. My family is ready with anything – a notarized ceremony, a religious ceremony, or a court marriage.
Her mother is convinced but her elder brother is opposing. She is so scared but wanted to get married.
We are exploring the Special Marriage Act via court, but we don't know whether it's safe or not in Maharashtra. Will her family or other goons get to know that we are getting married? Can it be kept secret until it's done?
Other option is religious ceremony, but for that we both need to be of one religion, hence one needs to convert. We're exploring converting via notarized and then doing the religious ceremony, but will it be safe?
Which one will be safer okay according to our condition? Her family should not know , after her family knows this can they take any action? Like police case or jail me? Or cancelling the marriage?
