I didn’t expect this reality at all, but here we are. Short version, I thought I understood how my and my husband's career paths would go, but last year we got a curveball that changed everything…
Longer version, my husband lost his job. He was a high level executive. He was not approved for unemployment and has a host of health issues, so cobra is a necessary, but stupid expensive monthly cost. He has applied for over 90 positions thus far and isn't getting a lot of interview requests. Is it possible he's been black-balled????? Or is he not trying as hard as he claims to be???? My salary is good, but not enough to sustain our lifestyle. We are definitely hurting. I am hurting.
