I suspect there is an issue with my meters and/or boiler, but I gave a meter reading before Christmas after not having done so for a few months (I know) and was surprised at the amounts I’m apparently using. I live in a one bed flat but do wfh majority of the week and have radiators. I do cook a regular amount and do have the heating on but at a reasonable usage imo.
Spoke to Ovo just before Christmas who didn’t seem to understand my confusion but I have someone coming in a few weeks to look at the meters. I went home on 24th and just seen that on my account, I have “used” 81 kWh on Xmas day and 71 kWh on Boxing Day – no one has been in the flat and I had turned off the heating and hot water before leaving.
What is going on? Is this normal? How can I fix this.
