Last week I started a migraine which my husband of 13yrs has done his best to help with. Sunday was the worst day with my vagus nerve being triggered with nausea. I was in the bathroom staying near the toilet. My memory starts failing around then. He bathed the kids and apparently shortly after going back downstairs they heard several thuds. When he came to check I was on the floor seizing. The squad was called and I had a 2nd seizure in the ambulance. I have no memory of Sunday night or Monday morning.
I became aware on Monday afternoon in the hospital. My husband had been with me the entire time. Our kids had been with my BIL and then MIL overnight. My parents took them Monday to Tuesday.
I don't think I could have navigated any of this on my own. I had been so frustrated with him lately with his childish behavior but I was reminded he's the type of person you want with in a crisis.
He has been my rock the last couple days navigating the new meds, going through the realization that my world is temporarily narrowing with the fact I can't drive and my freedom is limited.
Because my memory was still faulty he asked the questions to the doctors and getting the info we needed. I have a neuro appointment on the 13th. Hopefully we get more answers then. He has done his best to reassure me that things will be okay and I am grateful!
