I’m a 25M and my girlfriend is 21. I’m posting here because I’m struggling with premature ejaculation, mainly due to very high sensitivity of my penis, and it’s starting to affect our sex life and my confidence.
Whenever we try penetrative intercourse, I usually ejaculate after just a few thrusts. It feels like I don’t have much control once penetration starts. My girlfriend really enjoys penetrative sex and prefers it over other forms of stimulation. I do my best to satisfy her in other ways I go down on her, use my hands, mouth, and toys, and she does orgasm but penetration is something she emotionally and physically craves, and I feel bad that I can’t last long enough.
Another issue is my refractory period. After ejaculation, I need around an hour before I can get hard and ready again for a second round. This makes it hard to compensate by going again quickly, and it often kills the momentum and intimacy in the moment.
This situation has started to affect my self-esteem, and I worry about disappointing her even though she’s supportive and understanding. I’m looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with something similar
