Hey! I have a situation that I’m so confused about. I went on a first date with someone on Friday 12/19 before we both headed out for holiday travel. The date went great. I thought he was kind and cute, conversation flowed effortlessly, and the short silences were sweet with gently eye contact. We hadn’t spoken a lot before meeting up and I prefer it that way – like to meet the person before building something on text.

At the end of the date he said he had a great time and would like to meet again sometime, and I echoed his thoughts. I told him I had a great time as well an would love to meet again. Maybe once we’re back from the holidays and I let him know when I’m back. He messaged me within a few minutes of leaving reiterating that he had a great time and found me very genuine. I responded saying I had a great time (once again) and that it was a sweet of him to say that and I’m looking forward to seeing him again.

Now it’s been 3 days since the date. Granted it the holiday period and what are we really going to talk about on text if it’s just been one date. But still, the silence feels weird. Am I supposed to just take it for what it is and take it as disinterest or change of heart, or wait? How long should I wait? I don’t want to disrespect myself, but I also really liked him 😬
