I'm 24, quite old to never have any experience. I never even held hands or being anyone interested in me. All my women friends are platonic.
When love or dating topic comes out, I just stay silent but eventually people ask about me too. When I say I'm not dating or talking with somebody, they usually ask when was my last date. And it's better to tell the truth than lying, right?
So my default lines are:
"I never thought about it"
"Focusing on myself I guess"
"I never actually had a crush on anyone"
"I just thought about it and it's hard to imagine someone being interested in me" (only when someone askes specificly)
But people tend to not believe what I said and the atmosphere becomes awkward. They all become sad and say things like "don't worry, you'll find someone", or try to give not-asked advices out of pity. In a worst case, make fun of me (especially guys). How do you guys deal with this?
