I'm not famous, my partner said ("no offense but it's not like you're famous or making millions") and my parents said similar to me

However, I have worked very hard to have 0 debt, $250k net worth before 30, 130k salary, and a small LLC that brings in 0-$5k a year, but my business partner (friend from hs) and I have some products coming out that are showing signs of high growth.

She has student loan debt of like 60k, makes 70k, paycheck to paycheck, and fam is poor, parents have bad debt, etc. Whereas mine have 3-6 million and I expect a decent inheritance.

I brought it up nicely, how its more about for if my business grows, I keep it my own. She's very weirded out by it, I even feel weird about it, but I feel it's the right thing to do.

Even if we only did business thing as part of it and didn't touch inheritance.

She says it's planning to fail, I say it's planning if god forbid something happens. You don't wear a seat belt because you expect to die when you get in the car. It's a just in case. I view this similarly. I know her parents did not like it either when she told them I brought it up.

Is my situation enough to warrant one? Or are my parents/partner right that it's overkill?
