I matched with this really beautiful woman on tinder recently, and she immediately said that she'd like to meet for dinner. I was excited, so I found a good restaurant and made a plan. Then, this morning, the day of our date, something about either her pictures or our conversation struck me as a bit off. I suspected that it might be a catfishing scam of some sort, so I asked if she had IG, saying "this might sound weird, but you seem too good to be true. How do I know you're real?" She said she didn't have IG, and gave me a Whatsapp number that I could FaceTime her on. I said I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going out expecting to meet a beautiful woman, and end up getting jumped by three burly dudes.

Immediate unmatch.

Still not positive if she was real and I just offended her, or if my instincts were right. Either way, my nervous system feels more relaxed now.
