Question in the title.

We matched online a little over a week ago, and we exchanged socials. She's out of the country now, but she has asked if I was willing to wait until she returned to meet up, to which I said yes. I'm pretty sure she wants a casual relationship.

We've been texting on our socials until today, where she liked my message and didn't respond. She is a dry infrequent texter, while I am more expressive. With that said, my messages generally do match her energy, and she does respond on time. Our conversations have been contextually shallow but fun – we've flirted and we've talked a little bit about our interests.

I'm okay with not texting everyday, but: how often should we text given the circumstance?

As in, should I wait until the day she returns to text her if she's still open to meeting up? Or text her on, let's say Christmas or News Year, for a short decent text (i.e. happy new year) just to stay in touch, then texting her when she returns? Or just wait until she reaches out?
