Today I did something foolish. I’ve been lifting pretty heavy the last few months so I felt great about my condition. Got plenty of rest and woke up this morning to do some squats.

Did no mobility, no warm up and just started doing some goblet squats after waking up. All of a sudden I felt a sharp feeling in my mid back. So I stopped.

It’s not a sharp pain such that it hurts. It feels more like I maybe pulled something in my back. When I rotate my back, I feel it. It’s not hurting but feels tight.

I love lifting heavy but will have to not do anything today, which sucks.

When you deal with spasms like this, how do you deal with it? And how to prevent in future?
