What time in history would you want to experience and why?

  1. A time before guns. Maybe even before proper swords.

Eta the why… I’m just so sick of humanity killing each other all the time. All the wars. I’d like to live in a time where this destruction wasn’t so easy.

  2. The Revolutionary War was a big part of my home town in Maine. There was a local militia battle which was also the first victory against the British Navy in 1775. Townsfolk still reenact and celebrate it every year. It’s incredibly interesting. It would be really something to go back to that time in my town and experience it.

  3. Honestly I would love to go to medieval Europe and just sniff the air, taste how nature should be like before the industrial revolution

  4. The late 1980s to early 1990s. I always tell people I wish I could have graduated from high school around that time and seen all the cool stuff during that time period.

  5. The first concert from the mexican artist Juan Gabriel in the mexico city Fine Art’s Palace in 1990. He revolutionized the mexican scene by being a man of ambiguous sexuality, a lot of flair, a beautiful voice, incredible poetry in his lyrics and a lot of stage presence. He was so good that politicians, high profile people and overall conservative people were dancing along his songs and in public. He came from a very poor and marginalized background and managed to leave his print in mexican history (and even japan, he became very popular there and of his music was translated). He is not even from “my time” and I still regret not going to his last concert before he died in 2016. The catholic church in mexico city held a funeral and half the country was there, it was televised. He was a whole thing on his own

  6. black woman here, sometime in the future maybe 100 years from now, if there’s still racism, then 200.

  7. I feel like I was meant to be born when my husband was (1975) and grow up in the 80s. I would have had such a blast playing arcade games and enjoying things of the 80s and early 90s, plus I could have bought a house and been set! I think the 80s and 90s were the last good decades of America

  8. I’d like to see the Harappan civilization in it’s prime.

When were excavating, were realizing what an advanced civilization it was, with its own urban planning and irrigation systems and trade systems. It was probably one of the richest places in the world at the time with a very equal distribution of wealth and excellent sanitation and a rich knowledge system.

  9. Being able to experience the nightlife during the 1980’s in London England would be super fun. Or have the chance to travel back to New York City in the late 70’s to go party at Studio 54.

  10. Depends on if I can go back to the future or not. If not than the 80s to 90s, could actually get a house and live well off of one salary. If I can go back, then to the founding of the United States for the sole reason of hitting Andrew Jackson with a cart or wagon

  11. 200 years prior to white men discovering america. I’d like to be native in that time of the US.

  12. I’ve always wanted to experience Black church in the south in the 1950s. The movies make it look like such magical place of love and power.

  13. The 70s and 80s. I’m a 90s old soul dating a 70s man. The music, the culture, everything was simpler back then. I’d love to see the rise of technology right from the beginning. I’m also very much into 70s music, got my whole turntable setup, so it’d be a vibe.

  14. 90s probably.

Before the internet but still close enough to modern times to have (relatively) decent women’s rights.

  15. Uh….probably nothing in the past unless I could be rich.

I would want to go far enough into the future where it’s not possible for anything in my lifespan to effect that future. So if I saw anything bad and came back. It is what it is.
