My fiancé and i got engaged recently and have been talking about marriage and all the not so beneficial parts..
some context, i have a child from a previous relationship and we have state assistance such as medicaid and ebt for my child. tremendously helpful as some may know!
anyway, if i get married to my current partner who is not my sons biological father, will my son lose his state assistance?
what really changes? and filing taxes?
** if anyone has a similar situation and has gone through with the marriage, what happens??!
