When I was in my 20s I wanted to marry an ambitious man. My father was never like that and I wished he was. I didn't care about the money. I wanted a man who will make money one day. We started dating when I was 26 and he was 28. He graduated in industrial engineering and was at the start of his career. I also had a job but I didn't have or wanted a career. It just worked for us this way. I had a good paying 9 to 5 but nothing more. I cooked for him and watched him climb that ladder.

Today he is 45 and I am 43 and he achieved everything he said he will achieve during those cheap dinners we used to have in a rented small flat. I just love seeing him in a position with power, with hundreds subordinates, respected, accomplished. Sometimes, just for the movie effect haha I fix his tie in the morning. He sets budgets, develops strategies and long term plans for the company and I just love him.

Maybe it sounds shallow or old fashioned, but I am so proud of him and ourselves. Our marriage is a happy one. We don't spend a lot of time together but it was to be expected. However we do go to the gym together and for weekend hikes. We also have 2 kids that look up to their father and have a great role model

So this is it. Just an appreciation post.
