I wake up before God to go to work and I use 3 alarms. One on my clock and 2 on my phone. It works for me but it wakes my wife up and then she is up with the animals for the rest of the day. I've heard about the wearable bands that vibrate or shock you but I feel like they won't work well enough. Any advice would be appreciated thank you!

  1. Get up when the first alarm goes off. I have a Garmin watch with an alarm and it wakes me up with the vibration. Or sleep in another room.

  2. My Fitbit wakes me up every morning. If you are needing three alarms to get up, your putting your wife in a pretty bad position. Set your alarm for your very last possible minute and just get up.

  3. My husband and I sleep in separate rooms. I get up at 4am for work. Sometimes he works until 11pm. Sleep is important so that’s what works for us. I definitely think you should get up on the first alarm and not have 3 go off.

  4. There is a sonic bomb alarm clock that includes a bed shaker. You could try that, with the alarm on silent. My spouse switched to a watch with an alarm and it is so much better.

  5. Have you tried just spending hundreds of dollars on a watch? Clearly the solution is to spend hundreds of dollars on a watch.

  6. I use a Garmin Vivoactive 3 smartwatch (it’s a fitness watch that works for all reasons). I can set alarms and it vibrates on my arm. It’s a no fail *except* for the rare time that I’m sleeping like a dead woman.

I think you could set your phone alarms to vibrate only, as well?

  7. My husband uses a Garmin watch to wake him up. Sometimes I feel the vibrate too but I’m able to go back to sleep a few minutes later, when it really wakes me up I don’t mind too much as I love getting to see my husband and have coffee with him in the early morning before he goes off to work.

  8. I’m in the same boat. I’ve taken to sleeping in the living room because I care about her getting good sleep.

I also wear a smart watch that vibrates, and it works for me. But what’s really worked lately has been setting my phone alarm to vibrate only, no sound, and then putting my phone on airplane mode and putting it under my pillow.
