Started a claim with a supplier/retailer in regards to my missing parcel that DPD claim to have delivered, and have recently received a letter from “Delivery Investigations LTD” who claim to be acting on behalf of DPD, asking me to complete and return a slip telling me to confirm I have not received the parcel. I’m pretty sure this firm is just DPD posing as another company, but there are no contact details other than a PO Box address so I’m not entirely certain.

Supplier/retailer so far are being cooperative and seem to be proactive with the situation, but have said I need to return the slip for the claim to move forward. Correspondence has been going on for 2 weeks now with no real progress.

I’m not entirely sure if I should complete this slip for this random third party company considering I’ve had no previous relationship with them.

As far as I’m aware, my contract is with the supplier/retailer and not the courier, and therefore they should be handling the investigation with DPD as this is their obligation under consumer law.

I’m unsure whether completing the form or not will have any effect on the outcome of my claim or if it will affect my rights to make a section 75/chargeback claim.

Has anyone had any dealings with this “Delivery Investigations LTD” or have been in a similar situation with DPD regarding a missing parcel?
