I have changed my name by deed poll (unenrolled, but still certified by a solicitor). Every organisation (banks, government documents etc.) has accepted this and I have a new ID with this name. However, my college has refused to accept this and says they need an enrolled deed poll, regardless of everything I’ve just said. I told them this but they wouldn’t have any of it and became very short with me. They know I’m a victim of stalking and a care leaver who lives independently. Which part of GDPR are they breaking, and is this something I could use to threaten them with legal action? Who can I report this to?
