My boyfriend (20M) and I (19F) have moved in together in the last 3 months. The first month was a little rough because we were both adjusting to living with someone else for the first time, but we have always come out on the other side because bf is an incredible communicator and so so sweet! We haven’t had any real disagreements or arguments for the yearish long duration of our relationship, but the one thing we can’t seem to do without getting upset with each other is grocery shopping.

It’s so hard to go grocery shopping because we always get stressed out and frustrated with each other without fail! We’ve even tried to go to different grocery stores to see if it will be better there. We’ve recently started saying affirmations before we leave. Things like “we love each other” “we are best friends” “we are going to have a good time” etc etc very sappy but it honestly has helped a little, but we still struggle immensely.

Do you guys grocery shop with your partners? If so, do you have a good time? What do you do to make it more enjoyable?

Edit: I’m not necessarily looking to have fun, I just don’t want to hate each other by the end of it which is what is happening. I plan the meals and make a list and then we go to the store together. We get frustrated over stupid things like if we forgot something in the last aisle or if the scanner keeps messing up and we have to call an attendant over or if I forgot to put something on the list. Dumb things.
