So I’ve (29M) heard that women avoid men in certain career fields entirely. I’ve heard most commonly first responders (police, fire, EMS) and military. Is there a specific reason why? Is the reasoning based on personal experience or advice from other friends, maybe both? I mainly ask because I am a Nurse and I feel as though some women look at me weird when I tell them that. I know Nurses have a reputation of being unfaithful but I’m just surprised that one would generalize everyone in a single career field to be a certain way. I actually once had a girl tell me that my career was great but that I did not make enough money to provide for her, which I was mostly just blown away by not even offended. So if you have careers that men get into that you avoid in dating what is the reason why? Is being a nurse bad for me dating chances?
