It’s so crunchy here. This morning one outside thermometer was showing -1, and the other -11. I don’t know the exact temperature, but everything is pretty frozen. But sunny! It does look really pretty.
Anyone else succumbing to the Black Friday fever? The temptation to stock up on drawing paper is taking over. Help.
There seemed to be an intrusion of Gulf air that gave me a few days of T-shirt and shorts weather, but it’s ended in a day of rain like it always does.
I see that a Frida Kahlo painting has become the most expensive artwork by a female artist ever sold at auction (there are rumours that her art had reached higher prices at private sales,but not confirmed).
It’s a $55 million self portrait,known as ‘El Sueno’ (The Dream).All of her work that is in Mexico cannot legally be sold abroad,this was outside of Mexico.
Do you know much about Kahlo and her art? If so,do you like it?
First snow of the season for us here today.
Right, well it was about 3 minutes of light snow that didn’t come to anything, but still.
I went for a run in the cold and I’m so dead. I wonder if exercise in the cold makes you burn more calories or something. Like, you burn calories during exercise and you need to burn extra for warming up the body? Is it even an amount worth mentioning? No idea.
I’ve been watching a few Yakutia -60 degrees life videos before bed lately. I guess they do need a few calories more than normal people.
I forgot my phone charger in a hotel room last weekend and have been charging my phone with a charger intended for a laptop until today, finally bought a new charger. The laptop charger on a phone is mental. It would charge my phone from 20% to 100% in literally like 30 minutes, lmao. Must be horrible for the battery.
It’s definitely autumn in Palermo now… the fruit and vegetables shop around the corner has big copper pots full of boiled potatoes outside!
This is an old autumn/winter tradition here, good to see it hasn’t disappeared.
