Hi,
I know this title sounds harsh, but bear with me. Me and my GF are in a long distance relationship, only seeing each other on weekends and otherwise spend time over discord.
The problem only occurs on Discord. We normally meet up around 22 and end the call around 1/2. This girl killed my sleeping rhythm multiple times in a row because hers is completely cooked so I'm glad there is a rhythm to it even if its a bit late for me.
So we go in the call and she literally starts talking without a break for at least one hour about her day and the next day in extreme detail in a rather fast pace. I really try my best to listen to her but i just cannot. First of all its rather late for me after working and studying myselg i simply dont have the capacity anymore, secondly while i care how her day was and about its highlights i really dont need a full summary of it.
Its gotten to a point where its rather annoying and i start spacing out and not listening at all (which i dont want) and the time we actualyl spend time doing something is only around 1 hour if even less.
The obvious solution is talking about this issue but i don't know how to do that without hurting her feelings. As i said, i am interested in her, but she simply has no breaks It's like a waterfall i have never ever heard somebody talk so much in such little time.
When we meet up IRL there are zero issues only over discord.
