Usually you can't tell if it's bad or not when you select the trolley out in the car park and have to wheel it over a rough road surface, because it's going to clang and vibrate however badly maintained it is, but once you're on the smooth supermarket floor, suddenly you realise with horror that your trolley is going to clack clack clack all the way around unless you do something about it and swap the trolley over. Maybe you just endure it and sort of lift up one corner of the trolley in order to make it a little better as you progress?

  1. Unless the wheel is outright stuck and just wont move any direction, I’ll endure it and continue to moan the entire time about “the bloody trolley”

  2. Once I’ve entered the shop we are inextricably bound together until the shopping is done.

  3. If it’s bad enough that it turns itself round for me. You want to stay with your friends? Sure, you can go back and stay with your friends. But know this – I’m taking one of them with me.

  4. Never give in. Honestly, if a wheel fell off I would just lift the corner and march on.
