Sooo this is quite awkward, but I would like some help/ideas on how to approach this.
My mom is really “conservative” and I grew up in a strict household.
This last weekend I thought I was home alone and put headphones on to watch adult content. I guess my mom came back home and I didn’t notice because she walked in on me and saw.
I think that was the most embarrassing situation I have ever been in. She didn’t just walk back out but angrily grabbed my laptop to see what I was watching and it was wlw videos. She yelled at me, asked me why i am watching this and blah blah blah blah. I think you can imagine.
What happened now is that my mom told me to stop seeing my best friend. My best friend and I hang out a lot. We see each other several times a week and also like to have sleepovers. My mom told me to stop all of that. She said my friend is only allowed to come over to my place if necessary while she is home and wants me to leave the door open.
It’s annoying. She thinks I’m into girls now, which I am not.
I don’t know how to deal with that situation. I don’t want to tell my friend “hey, funny story – my mom caught me watching lesbian porn and now she is scared of us sleeping with each other, so we can’t hang out”. It’s embarrassing.
I told my mom that I don’t like girls, but she doesn’t believe me. I still live with her and am not planning to move out anytime soon which makes all of it difficult to deal with.
