Is my friend my enemy?

I am receiving bad WhatsApp messages from ‘anonymous’ – they have been harassing me the past 16 days.

‘Anonymous’ sent 2 messages to me while I was in conversation with a friend who is already the most likely person to be ‘anonymous’.

Anonymous has been pinging me with “…” for the past few days, either to maintain communication or see when I am online.

What does Reddit say?

My hypothesis is that they sent the “..” at the same time as messaging me to produce some kind of notion of an alibi “It can’t be me because I was messaging you at the time.” But in juggling 2 phones at the same time, the accidentally replied to me from the wrong phone.

There have been more coincidences between anonymous and friend. I will share if people are interested and willing to dig deeper.
