Question for people who aren’t from the West Midlands- do you see places like Dudley, Walsall and Wolverhampton as part of Birmingham?

I was speaking to someone about Dudley and they kept referring to it as Birmingham like Dudley was an area of Brum. It made me wonder if everyone thinks the West Midlands conurbation is all just Birmingham in the same way Greater London is just thought of as London.
