Yesterday me and my partner went for a walk and three kids around 12 were coming the other way, and started shouting abuse at us.
We are alternative and have quite a loud appearance which might be relevant. They were shouting insults at us and wouldn't leave us alone so we made some comments back and decided to start walking another way. They started picking up rocks and throwing them towards us (none of them hit) and one of them was filming it on his phone.
We walked in a loop twice to try and lose them but I was freaking out because we are 30+ and if they were adults then it would have been different, but you cant fight an under 18. My partner was furious and wanted to chase them but I was like do not. It's not worth it because we are the ones that would look bad.
They kept following us shouting and swearing at us while filming.
We made it back to the car and got out of there but the whole thing has given me such bad anxiety.
Would you report this to the police or just chalk it up to a bad experience walking through a rough estate and (i dont want to say kids being kids because that is so wrong, these were animalistic and their parents should be ashamed)?
