So I (M24) started working in a firm four months ago. There is this coworker of mine (F23) who I feel there might be some mutual interest. So briefly, most of the people at my office are in our age range and there is some joking around during the day with everyone. Over a month or so ago I started to get more comfortable with everyone and I would occasionally join in and “friendly bully” her or others (nothing too aggressive obviously, it may even be flirty with her but nothing too obvious).
My other coworker (M27) was having a halloween party last weekend, he made an open invite a month ago but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go. The girl I’m interested and I text each other occasionally on teams. Three days before the party she asked me if I wanted to go as her plus one because he best friend cancelled on her last minute, so I said I’ll go with her. The party was kinda early, so she asked me to arrive later and at the same time as her and I agreed (I didnt offer to pick her up bc I didnt want to seem too forward but it might have been a missed opportunity lmao).
Once we got there together, the host of the party was like “Did you guys came together? TEA” while looking at her (he was a bit drunk but i just played it cool whatever) They are kinda close friends (the host is in a relationship) so I’m not sure if she had mentioned anything to him and he was just action dumb to see my reaction. During the night she even made a remark jokingly about me not being a gentleman for not asking to pick her up. Everyone had fun at the party and I got to get to know her and my other coworkers better. We left the party at the same time and walked together to our cars, the we hugged and said bye.
So idk if I should asked her out to something casual to get to know her better because I do feel like I’m interested but I’m also hesitant because “I dont want to shit where I eat”.
