Hi i’m 21(f) and my boyfriend is 25(m). We’re 6months into the relationship, we’ve got great chemistry. I love him a lot. Getting into this relationship he had problems with debt from gambling, I helped him out and was able to pay about 80% of the debt. He always talks about getting a job since the start of our relationship to pay the rest but until now he hasn’t gotten one now he chose to take up a vocational course for experience. We started off paying 50/50 every time we go out but now that he’s finished uni he no longer has allowance to rely on, so from then on I didn’t mind paying for our food. But it’s gotten to the point where he asks money from me like his source of allowance and always promises to pay it back and ends up not doing it. One time he snuck through my phone and sent himself money to pay off more debt, i got so mad and he reasoned out that he was too scared to ask me for help, we eventually talked it out. We fight just like any other couple but he gets easily jealous and overthinks whenever im not with him or tell him I can’t meet him but i always assure him of my whereabouts and keep him updated. It just sucks that whenever he feels off he starts to act weird and say he’s “chill” i shrug it off sometimes cause it might just be me but I can’t help but feel like the vives are off. Im really hopeful that things will get better for him but i just have a hard time setting boundaries and speaking up. Idk lmk what you guys think.
