My sister-in-law is married (but in a long-distance marriage), and I’ve been noticing things that feel wrong to me. She purposely goes outside when our single neighbor is outside, she dresses up more than usual when she’s expecting to see him, and she even finds excuses like “I forgot to bring something in” just to cross paths with him.
She once told me, “He’s looking at me, not you,” and she gets jealous if he gives me attention instead of her.
Her husband is a good man.
I feel like this behavior is disrespectful to her husband, but maybe I’m judging too harshly. Maybe this kind of attention-seeking is normal or harmless?
