Me and my gf met about two months ago and have been dating for two weeks. We just reached 1st base last week but then we went straight to 2nd base more recently (she initiated it). It might be important to note that I’ve been in a relationship before and she hasn’t.

I can’t help but think that maybe this is too soon. I really believe in letting relationship milestones happen romantically, and they did, but the intervals of time just seem too short. My better judgement is telling me to slow down.

I told her about how I feel about it. She said that she doesn’t think it’s happening too fast and that she enjoys it and wants to do it again, and if I think it’s too fast then we can slow down. I really don’t want to go to third base, but at this rate I’m afraid she might make the move first.

Are we going too fast? Should we slow down? Should we stay at second base and not let it progress further until we’ve been together longer?
