TL;DR christian relationship, boyfriend was on girls from our schools vsco pages, we have strong no opposite gender boundaries, im hurt, hes apologized and promised no lustful intent, he promises never again and that we will repair.
okay so me and my boyfriend are both christian’s, committed to god, and we have been together for nearly a year, i looked through his phone and lemme tell u i LOOKED and there was nothing, except for instagram, it tells you their recently clicked links, and it was a couple girls from my schools vsco pages. in our relationship we have a very strong belief that we don’t have opposite gender friends or look at opposite gender. Upon me on his phone he’s watching and he says “I want my phone back” takes it from me, stands up, starts panicking and saying “We’re done” and I tell him like no I want to talk about this and he says “for your benefit we are done, you don’t deserve that” eventually I got him to sit down and calm down to talk about it, he says he does not want to end anything and that he loves me which I know he does, he admitted to going on their page and told me sometimes he likes to scroll through his recommended following and click on their page, he told me there was absolutely 0 lustful intent behind going to their pages, but simply mindless scrolling and clicking. I will say our relationship has been amazing, we have our tougher conversations but it’s always resolved, healthily communicated, and he has always talked about how lustful men are disgusting and he would never. I do believe that he did not have lustful intend behind going to their pages, and I want to repair any trust broken and he says he does as well. I keep thinking about it and how I should go about this, I told him we aren’t breaking up, so what should I do next? Preferably from someone in christian faith as well who can give biblical advice.
