This is a really dumb question but I am having trouble understanding what a respectful and normal relationship should look like. For context, relationship consists of 37M and 34F, been together 8 years (unmarried), own a home together.
How often is each party allowed to go see friends? With family? What crosses the line? Are you allowed to take day trips without your partner? Is seeing your friends/family 25% out of the month too much? Does this change when one partner is pulling in more income than the other?
What should fights look like? Is it okay if parties don’t talk for days with each other during conflict?
I want to make sure I am being respectful of my long term relationship
