For American teachers, what are some of the pros and cons of teaching in public, private, religious or charter schools?

I’m fascinated by how much choice Americans have for school, where I’m from we mostly rely on public schools for k-12 education so all teachers teach in public schools. But in American cities, there are public, private, charter schools and religious schools like Catholic or Jesuit schools. So for American teachers, what has been your experiences in teaching in these different types of schools? Are there some issues and experiences, both good and bad, that you can get teaching in a certain type of school?
