So I’ve (29F) had this guy (31M) in my city on Instagram for a couple years just because we have a bunch of mutual followers. He’s been liking my pics and hearting some of my stories for a while now.
I started going to a run club recently and he goes every week. The first time I went we just made eye contact from far away and didn’t talk. The second week I went he came up behind me while I was sitting and tapped me in the shoulder and said “hi Heather” and asked if I was doing a 5k race the next day.
On the day of the 5k he came up to me and gave me a friendly hug after the race and came up and talked to me two separate times. Both convos were fairly short.
My friend convinced me to message him last night on insta to ask him if he was going to run club today. He responded and told me he might go, then this morning messaged and said he’d see me soon. We’ve also been hearting each others stories on insta pretty frequently lately.
At run club today, he didn’t initially come up to me and I ended up talking to a group of guys. A few minutes later he interrupted my conversation and hugged me to say hi. We then talked briefly while we started the run.
I thought he’d seek me out after the run but I saw he was talking to another girl. We had to take a large group photo though and he came up and stood right next to me for the pic. We ended up talking for like 10 more minutes and he asked if I’m doing a certain run in November. He also talked to me about his job, where he lives, and mentioned things I’ve posted about travel in insta in the past. At the end, he gave me another hug and said he’d see me next week.
I don’t know if he’s single or not but I’ve never seen him post a girl on insta or show up to run club with another girl. I really just want advice on whether he’s just a friendly guy or if there is some romantic interest. He hasn’t asked me to hang out or anything so I’m really unsure what to do next.
