Like a week ago my partner and I tried nipple play for the first time (first time for me, not him). My nipples are not that much sensitive. He was sucking on them and pulling hard, but always stopped after few seconds when it started hurting a lot. The next two days they were very swollen and red, then the swelling went down and they were dry and the dry skin peeled off in the shower. They look like 80% normal now, but they are still sensitive. I've been using antibiotic ointment 2x a day since it happened and Vaseline in between that. Just ordered lanolin since I heard it was better. I haven't worn a bra for few days and I started wearing it two days ago and my nipples were itchy a lot and my sternum burns from bra now which it never did before. Is this all normal? I'm scared that I somehow ruined my nipples and don't have anyone to ask this.

everyone is different- i’ve had partners who literally climaxed off nipple play alone while others weren’t as sensitive or full end of the spectrum; not something they enjoyed or wanted. If it’s not doing it for you express this to your partner and prevent overdoing it in hopes that something will happen when all it did was irritate the area. Try applying aquaphor it helps a bit more than vaseline.
you didn’t ruing your nipples lol dont worry it’s just the result of your partner doing way too much. SO important to communicate when things aren’t working or don’t feel good. If your partner isn’t able to weigh that out himself then you directly telling him would make things crystal clear and prevent this from happening again
Completely normal reaction. This is exactly what happens to your nipples when you breast feed. The dry skin is normal too. You don’t need the antibiotic cream, you just need to give it time to heal and they will return to normal.
Basically it was all too much for your nipples which were not used to that much stimulation. If you did not enjoy it then make sure you tell your partner that. It might be that you prefer softer more gentle nipple play or maybe it is just not something that works for your body. Also nipples change over the course of a lifetime and I found that mine were much more sensitive and response after I had my kids and had breast feed for quite a while so it is important to always be open to change and exploring as your body changes over the years
Definitely not the same, but for what it is: I usually get nipple chafing when running marathons. To the point that there is blood and a lot of it. Nipples will be dry and cracked for a week or three afterwards, but just keep them moisturized and they’ll go back to normal. With regular (not as hard) nipple play they will also begin to handle more “abuse” or wear and tear if you will lol.
Tl;dr: don’t worry, they’ll be fine.
